Polymer composites from sandwich panels to complicated aerospace industry parts to medical industry have been playing a growing role in all related industries since a decade ago. The winning factor is the huge mechanical properties to weight ratio for different parts and the ability to tailor their structure to manufacture more aerodynamically efficient parts.

One of the main materials is Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) which is believed to be the mainstream material for the composites industry.

There is a new class of composites called thermoplastic composites. They are tougher and more sustainable than their thermoset counterparts. They have way longer shelf lives and can be recycled easily. They have extensive applications in automobile, aerospace and construction industries.

Many resins can be used to manufacture these materials like PP, PES, PA, PC, PEEK, PEKK, TPU and more.
