Job Overview:
As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. You will work closely with the production and R&D teams to provide critical data, identify any deviations, and help maintain the quality of Axipolymer’s products.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products following established procedures and protocols.
Operate and maintain plastics lab equipment.
Prepare samples for testing, ensuring accuracy and consistency in sample collection and handling.
Record and analyze test results, identifying trends and discrepancies that may affect product quality.
Communicate test results and findings to the production, R&D, and quality teams in a clear and timely manner.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methods to improve lab efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain accurate documentation of all testing processes, results, and reports in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure the laboratory remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in chemistry, materials science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a laboratory environment.
Previous experience in a QC or laboratory technician role, preferably within the plastics industry.
Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and techniques, particularly for materials testing.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and recording data.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of sustainable materials or plastics.
Experience with ISO and ASTM testing standards.
Familiarity with data analysis software and quality management systems.
